TRAINING - A normal training week for Riley would consist of a 4 to 5 day routine. He works his strength and conditioning with Steve at "USA Stars" in Oklahoma City. Riley works his stand up and kick boxing with his coach John Cambell for a couple hours per day followed by a rolling sission with his brother Brian Grinnell at the "Shawnee Wrestling Room".
How Riley become an MMA fighter - After high school, Riley missed being involved in sports so he decided to start dabbling in Brazilian Ju Jitsu and stand up. Riley had a little bit of a lemans syndrome problem and found himself fighting in bars and at parties a lot. He didn't want to be that type of person so he channels his anger and passion with this sport to better himself as a person.
Who is Riley's Heroes? - John Fitch is Riley's favorite fighter because of the way he transitions his wrestling game to a dominant top contender in the world in one of the greatest fight organizations today. Another hero of his is Matt Hughes for the dominance he displays through his years as one of the greatest middleweights in the world due to his Iowa based wrestling background.
Favorite technique? - On ground, it's "flying triangle." Standing, it's fake shot to Overhand right.
